College Football 27 Set to Launch July 9
The newest edition of EA Sports' college football franchise, College Football 27, is scheduled to arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on July 9. The release promises updated rosters, refined gameplay mechanics and a deeper integration of fan‑favorite features.
Internal rankings place the Texas Longhorns fifth overall among the 138 Division I programs, awarding the team an 89 rating that reflects both the program's historic pedigree and the current depth of its roster.
Longhorn Standouts Light Up the Rankings
Among the individual player ratings, senior linebacker Colin Simmons emerges as the highest‑rated Longhorn with a 95 overall score. Sophomore left tackle Trevor Goosby holds the third‑best rating at his position with a 94, while wide receiver Cam Coleman is ranked third nationally among receivers with a 92.
Middle linebacker Rasheem Biles also earns a 92, securing the No. 1 spot among middle linebackers. Quarterback Arch Manning is positioned sixth at his position with a 91, and safety Jelani McDonald climbs to fifth among strong safeties with a 90.
Cornerback Bo Mascoe and running back Hollywood Smothers both receive an 89, tying for the top rating within their groups. Speedster Raleek Brown flashes a 95 speed rating, placing him among the fastest players on the roster, while guard Brandon Baker is rated the third‑best right guard at 87.
