July Media Days Set the Stage for the Upcoming Season
July marks the end of the quiet stretch in college football coverage, as the power conferences roll out their annual media days. These gatherings give coaches, players and analysts a chance to preview the upcoming season and discuss NFL Draft prospects before the first preseason games.
The Big 12 Media Days will be held on July 7–8 in Frisco, Texas, where teams from the conference will gather for a series of press conferences and interviews.
The ACC Kickoff is scheduled for July 15–17 in Charlotte, North Carolina, providing a platform for ACC programs to showcase their rosters and draft‑eligible talent.
The SEC Kickoff will take place July 20–23 in Tampa, Florida, while the Big Ten Media Days run July 28–30 in Chicago, Illinois, completing the quartet of conference events that signal the start of the fall football calendar.

Among the storylines, Oklahoma State quarterback Drew Mestemaker and Texas Tech defensive lineman A.J.
