Veteran goalkeeper Danny Sanchez recorded his 200th career win in NCAA Division I, a milestone that underscored the team’s depth and experience.
Colorado’s 100th all-time win came after the Buffaloes built a comfortable halftime lead, setting the tone for the rest of the contest.
First Meeting, Familiar Faces
The match marked the inaugural official encounter between the two programs, a fact highlighted by Army head coach Tracy Chao’s prior stint as an assistant at Colorado.
Offensive production was spread across the lineup, with Hope Leyba opening the scoring in the seventh minute via a well-placed header.
Michaela McGowan added her first goal as a Buffalo just eleven minutes later, and the duo of Reagan Kotschau and McGowan struck twice within a minute in the 28th minute, the second-fastest consecutive strike in program history.
Sloane Phillips recorded her collegiate debut goal in the second half, while Lexi Myer capped the rout with a late strike in the 89th minute.
