Colorado Buffaloes have secured a commitment from guard Amir Jones, marking the third recruit of the May signing period and adding a versatile piece to their backcourt.
Jones arrives after a standout season at Harvard-Westlake High School in California, where he averaged 12 points, four assists and five rebounds while operating as a combo guard.
Mentorship and Depth
He will link up with returning Buffs guards Jalin Holland and Josiah Sanders, who are expected to mentor the newcomer as the team addresses limited depth at the guard position.
The Buffaloes also landed commitments from power forward Chase Hill and point guard Luke Mirhashemi, forming a trio of overlooked prospects who could become key contributors.
Coach Tad Boyle is likely to give Jones an opportunity to earn a consistent role despite his youth, using the team's depth chart to develop his playmaking abilities.
