The University of Colorado announced that the 2026 football season will officially begin with its annual Kickoff Luncheon on August 28, a tradition that draws the program’s most recognizable faces and fans alike.
Kickoff Luncheon Details
The gathering will take place at the Ford Practice Facility on the Boulder campus, with doors opening at 11:30 a.m. and the program commencing at 1 p.m.
Head coach Deion Sanders, known widely as Coach Prime, will join Athletic Director Fernando Lovo, Boulder Chamber President and CEO John Tayer, and a host of CU coaches and players for the ceremony.
Individual tickets are priced at $100, while corporate tables start at $2,000, offering fans a chance to attend the kickoff festivities.
Season Outlook
The Buffaloes open the season on September 3 against Georgia Tech before hosting Weber State in their home opener on September 12, setting the stage for a competitive campaign under Sanders' leadership.
