Prep Baseball Colorado announced its year-end All-State baseball squad on Wednesday, honoring the top performers across all classifications sanctioned by the Colorado High School Activities Association.
Western Slope Leads the List
Among the honorees, Fruita Monument senior Josh Weaver earned a First Team spot as a two-way player, showcasing a 1.52 ERA over 50 2/3 innings while striking out 92 batters. At the plate he batted .427 in 93 appearances, driving in a team-high 22 extra-base hits.
Grand Junction's Andrew Henderson joined Weaver on the second team, posting a .437 average in 92 trips and a 1.53 ERA in 59 1/3 innings. Infielder Hunter Howard from Palisade also received second-team recognition after leading his squad with a .463 average and six home runs.
Additional Accolades and Future Destinations
Landon Kennell of Delta was named second-team as an infielder, batting .493 and launching eight home runs before committing to Erskine College in South Carolina. Sean Witt from Grand Junction earned an honorable-mention nod after finishing with a .419 average and 22 extra-base hits.
The recognition extends beyond individual stats, reflecting the growing talent pipeline from the Western Slope to collegiate programs. Weaver will head to Cowley College in Kansas, Henderson's next step remains undecided, Howard will attend Glendale Community College in California, and Kennell is headed to Erskine College.
