Playoff brackets take shape across Colorado
The 2026 Colorado High School Activities Association baseball playoffs are set to begin this weekend, kicking off competition in Classes 2A, 4A and 5A across the state.
Among the qualifiers, Pueblo West will represent the 5A division, while Rye High School earned a spot in the 2A field. The 4A bracket will feature squads from Pueblo Central, Pueblo South, Pueblo East and Pueblo County, each entering regional play with hopes of advancing.
Regional brackets and matchups
Regional tournaments consist of eight brackets per classification, each hosting four teams. The winners of these regionals will move on to the state tournaments later in the season, making every game a pivotal contest.
Specific pairings have been announced, including a Class 2A showdown between No. 17 Rye High School and No. 16 SkyView Academy in Region 1, as well as a Class 4A clash where No. 13 Pueblo South meets No. 20 Palmer Ridge in Region 4.
Pueblo County will serve as the host venue for the 4A regionals, providing the infrastructure and atmosphere for the competing schools. The host role underscores the community’s longstanding commitment to high school athletics.
