Week 1 Rankings Show Little Change
The Colorado Preps football rankings for Week 1 look remarkably similar to the initial list released for Week 0. With only a handful of teams taking the field last weekend, there was little opportunity for shifts, and the top spots across the state’s divisions stayed exactly where they were.
Class 5A Leaders
In the 5A bracket, Cherry Creek remains the team to beat, holding the first position. Valor Christian follows in second, while Ralston Valley stays locked in at third, underscoring the depth of talent in the state’s premier division.
Class 4A is led by Montrose, while Pomona occupies the runner‑up spot in Class 3A. Limon continues to dominate Class 1A, and Strasburg holds the top spot in Class 2A, each program showing early‑season consistency.
The smaller formats also reflect stability. Akron tops the 8‑Man rankings, and Idalia leads the 6‑Man division, indicating that even in the more compact leagues the competition remains tight.
