Colorado College and the Women's Premier Soccer League have teamed up to bring the Colorado Pride’s four home matches this season to Stewart Field, the historic venue on the university’s campus.
The opening fixture is slated for Saturday, May 30, kicking off at 6 p.m., marking the start of a busy home schedule that will also feature contests against Glacier FC, NoCo Rain FC, Aggies FC and Elevation SC later in the year.
A New Chapter for Women's Soccer in Colorado Springs
Colorado College women's soccer coach Keri Sanchez said she is thrilled to showcase the sport to a wider audience, emphasizing that the partnership will help grow community interest and provide a platform for elite female athletes.
Andi Waterhouse, general manager of Colorado Pride, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to play on campus, noting that Stewart Field offers a unique atmosphere that aligns with the team’s ambitions.
Current Colorado College assistant coach Kelsey Brouwer, who serves as the Pride’s goalkeeper coach, bridges the gap between the university program and the professional side, adding depth to the squad.
The Pride, the only Pro‑Am women’s team in the Colorado Springs area, finished the 2024 season ranked fourth nationally and compete in the Mountain Division of the Central Region, holding both the Franchise of the Year Award and the Conference Title. The league, billed as the world’s largest women’s soccer competition, boasts more than 100 clubs across the United States.
With the support of Colorado College and the broader soccer community, the upcoming matches promise to elevate the profile of women's soccer in the region and inspire the next generation of players.
