Colorado State University has finalized its basketball coaching staff for the 2026-27 season, confirming a lineup that leans heavily on continuity and a shared commitment to a family‑centric culture.
Ali Farokhmanesh, who takes the reins as head coach, brings a steady presence that has guided the program through recent transitions, emphasizing stability while integrating new talent.
Nico Carvacho, the program’s all‑time leading rebounder, returns to Fort Collins as a graduate assistant after a nine‑year stint that began when he first arrived with the original coaching staff; his international career includes titles such as the Bulgarian Cup MVP and a Portuguese League championship with Benfica.
A Family-Oriented Approach
The new staff’s emphasis on family atmosphere is evident in the composition of the three additions, each of whom has a prior connection to the Rams and shares a history that stretches back to their days in the program.
Baylor Hebb, who previously served as a graduate assistant and spent two seasons with the Rams from 2021 to 2023, has been promoted to Director of Player Personnel, a move that rewards his hands‑on work developing younger athletes and his role in last season’s 21‑win campaign and NIT appearance.
Parker Teff joins the bench after four years as a student manager, including two seasons as head manager, bringing operational expertise and a deep familiarity with the program’s day‑to‑day dynamics.
Together, the trio of returning staff members, all of whom have tasted success abroad—Carvacho in Bulgaria, Germany, Poland, Portugal and Israel—aim to preserve the Rams’ tradition of nurturing talent while pursuing new heights on the court.
