A New Era for Rams Soccer
The Colorado State Rams soccer team is gearing up for the start of its Pac‑12 schedule, opening the conference slate with two in‑state matchups that promise excitement for fans across the Rockies.
Head coach Keeley Hagen, who has steered the program to three straight Mountain West Tournament appearances, will rely on a roster that set program records last season with a 17‑4‑3 mark, the best win total in school history.
The first test comes on Wednesday, August 12, when the Rams travel to face the University of Colorado in Boulder, followed by a home showdown against Denver on Sunday, August 16, at 3 p.m. at the CSU Soccer Field.
Denver holds a historical edge in the series, leading 5‑3‑2, though the two sides have not met since a 2018 contest was canceled, and the teams have alternated hosting duties in recent years.
Colorado State’s recent run includes a Sweet 16 appearance in the NCAA Tournament, a milestone not reached by the Buffaloes since 2013, underscoring the Rams’ upward trajectory under Hagen’s guidance.
Mia Casey, a senior midfielder and one of the program’s all‑time greats, sits 12th on the school’s career points list and is currently on a national watchlist for top midfielders, having contributed four goals and three assists last season.
All Pac‑12 contests, including the upcoming home opener, will be streamed live for free on the conference’s YouTube channel, while tickets are available at $8 per match or season packages starting at $50 for general admission.
