A schedule built for résumé building
The Rams have released a non‑conference schedule that pits them against as many as seven teams that earned NCAA Tournament berths in the 2025‑26 season.
Key matchups include a home game against Colorado on Dec. 5, a road test at Wyoming on Dec. 11, and a showdown with Wisconsin on Dec. 30, while the team will also host Idaho, North Dakota State and Queens in a three‑game stretch beginning Dec. 8.
The lineup also features the Maui Invitational in Hawaii, where CSU opens against Arizona before potentially meeting Providence, VCU, BYU, Clemson, Ole Miss or Washington later in the tournament.
In addition, the Rams will compete in the Texas Legends Classic, facing Florida Atlantic on Dec. 18 and 20, adding another high‑profile opponent to the mix.
Coach Ali Farokhmanesh, now in his first year, has assembled a roster that returns six of the top eight scorers from a 21‑13 season that earned the team an NIT berth, positioning the squad to capitalize on the tough schedule.
The upcoming Pac‑12 slate will be a true 16‑game round‑robin, ensuring that the Rams face every conference opponent and further sharpen their résumé for the NCAA Tournament.
