A Familiar Face Returns to Lead the Lions' Future
Columbia University has announced the appointment of Nicole Stephens as its new Scouting & Player Development Assistant for the women's basketball program, a move that underscores the school's focus on continuity and internal expertise.

A Strategic Move for Columbia's Program
Stephens' playing career spanned two Ivy League powerhouses. She helped the Barnard College Lions capture back‑to‑back Ivy League titles in 2023 and 2024 before completing graduate studies at Dayton, where she earned Academic All‑Atlantic 10 honors and the R.U.D.Y.S. Outstanding Leader Award.
A scholar with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Barnard and a Master of Science in Education and Human Services from Dayton, Stephens will oversee workout scheduling, practice logistics, transfer‑portal tracking, and the creation of internal program materials.
