The arrangement extends a long-standing relationship that previously saw the Nailers serve as the Blue Jackets' ECHL affiliate from 1998 to 2026, a period highlighted by a 28-season affiliation with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Under the new deal, the Nailers will also maintain a parallel affiliation with the Cleveland Monsters, ensuring a continuous pipeline for prospects across the Western Conference Central Division, where they compete alongside clubs such as the Bloomington Bison and Toledo Walleye.

Home games will be played at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling, West Virginia, a venue that has witnessed 18 playoff appearances by the Nailers, including the most recent three seasons, and a fourth division title captured in the 2025-26 campaign with a 46-20-3-3 record.
