Concord Dominates Manchester Memorial
Concord High School's baseball squad rolled past Manchester Memorial in a decisive 10‑0 victory that lasted just five innings, establishing early control and never looking back.
The pitching staff shone, with Kale Washburn recording three strikeouts and no hits allowed, while Will Simms tossed two innings, surrendered a single hit, fanned four batters and added a timely bat at the plate.
Offensively, Michael Barry contributed two hits, crossed the plate once and drove in two runs; Tommy Weaver matched the effort with two hits and two RBIs; Rhys Craigue and Jacob Plodzik each collected a hit, scored twice and added an RBI; Cam Burbank and Brody Rossetti each chipped in a hit and a run respectively.
The scoring unfolded early, with Concord plating a run in the first inning, exploding for four in the second, adding three in the third and capping the outing with two more in the fourth, underscoring a relentless attack.
Coach Scott Owne praised the team's combined pitching and hitting, highlighting the seniors — Michael Barry, Alex Turant, Isaac Vaillancourt, Kale Washburn and Tommy Weaver — for their leadership and contribution to the dominant performance.
