Summer Prospect Camps Open Doors for Aspiring Players
Concordia University Irvine’s women’s basketball program is set to host two summer prospect camps this season, offering high school athletes a chance to sharpen their game while showcasing their talents to college coaches.
Under the direction of head coach Christine Collins-Kiernan and the university’s coaching staff, the camps emphasize player development, basketball IQ, and the confidence needed to compete at the next level.
A Strategic Recruiting Pipeline
The sessions feature elite trainers who guide detailed skill development drills, while current and former CUI players provide on‑court mentorship and insight. Each camper receives a personalized evaluation, a camp shirt, and actionable feedback for continued growth.
Beyond skill work, the camps serve as a key recruiting tool; nine of the program’s last eleven freshman signees attended a prospect camp before committing, illustrating the effectiveness of this pathway.
Athletes will have multiple opportunities to interact directly with the coaching staff and participate in Q&A sessions with current roster members, creating an immersive environment that blends instruction with real‑world experience.
