Connor Newell, a guard for Hoover High School, has officially committed to the men's basketball program at Mount Union University, marking the next chapter of a career built on precision shooting and clutch performances.
Elite Shooting Numbers
During his junior year he drained 55 three‑point shots, hitting nearly 39 percent from beyond the arc, and earned second‑team All‑Federal League and All‑Stark County honors.
A Clutch Performance
His most memorable moment arrived on December 23, when a three‑pointer at the buzzer sparked a 74‑71 victory over Massillon and reinforced his reputation for delivering under pressure.

With his senior season on the horizon, Newell will return to the Vikings aiming to translate his high school success into immediate contributions for the Purple Raiders.
