A Season of Records
Cooper Harrington, the senior goalkeeper from Bainbridge, was named the Kitsap Sun's boys soccer player of the year after a campaign that combined 11 shutouts with decisive performances in two shootout victories that secured the West Central District title and the 2A state championship. His 23‑0 record reflected a team that never tasted defeat, and his penalty‑save heroics in the finals earned him tournament MVP honors. Outside the net, Harrington balances soccer with competitive skiing and has committed to attend St. Olaf College in the fall.
The accolade was accompanied by a sweeping list of all‑league selections that highlighted the depth of talent across the region. First‑team honorees from the Olympic League 2A included Magnus Hauge, Matthew Miller, Will Treverton, Cruz Piland, Eli Duggan and Blake Moyer, while North Kitsap contributors Sebastian Moran, Bryan Montes De Oca and Owen Leslie earned similar recognition. In the Puget Sound League 3A Narrows Division, Central Kitsap’s Tyler Adams, Kamden Bailey and Myles Peterson also received first‑team nods, with Eli Paschal and Eli Daniels placing on the second team.
Honors Across the Board
Beyond the headline act, a host of other players were celebrated for their contributions. Andrew Knott, Rocco Thompson, Bradley Pickering, Efrain Carillo Lopez and Sammy Sebastian joined Harrington in receiving sportsmanship awards, while Kaleb Warden of Klahowya captured first‑team All‑Nisqually League 1A honors. Additional recognitions spanned the South Puget Sound League 4A, where Jesse Booth earned honorable mention, and the All‑Nisqually League 1A, which listed Tim Berzhnoy, Phoenix Howell, Logan Barth and Austin Prime among its honorable mentions.
