The Cornell University Athletics Hall of Fame is set to welcome a new group of legends this November, as fourteen distinguished athletes and contributors prepare for induction into its 2026 class.

The inductees span a wide array of sports, from track and field and wrestling to basketball, rowing, soccer, football, fencing, squash and more, reflecting the breadth of Cornell’s athletic excellence.
Among them, Udeme Akpaete captured two NCAA All‑America honors and set multiple school records on the track, while William "Buck" Briggs has long served as a historian and ambassador for Cornell football and the broader Big Red community.
Zak Dentes led the Big Red to an unbeaten sprint‑football championship season, and Luke Tasker once exploded for a single‑game record of 280 receiving yards, underscoring the program’s offensive firepower.
Keri Farley shattered the Ivy League scoring record with 41 points in a single women’s basketball game, and Meghan Phair earned first‑team All‑America status in epee fencing, highlighting standout performances across gender and discipline.
Nahshon Garrett stands as a four‑time NCAA All‑American and 2016 national champion in wrestling, while Shonn Miller became the first Cornell athlete to reach both 100 blocked shots and 100 steals, marking milestones in defensive prowess.
Taylor Goetzinger earned repeated CRCA All‑America honors in rowing, Nick Sachvie amassed four College Squash Association All‑America selections, and Marissa Siergiej made program history as the first field hockey All‑American in over a decade.
Daniel Haber propelled the men’s soccer team to its first Ivy League title since 1995, Luke Hagy became the first Ivy football player to surpass 2,000 rushing yards and 1,500 receiving yards, and Reggie Baker Robbins is celebrated as a founding figure in Cornell women’s ice hockey.
The ceremony will take place on November 14, 2026, at a venue in New York, bringing together athletes, coaches, alumni and fans to honor these contributions.
