Covington Parks & Recreation is expanding its fall offerings with two new youth programs designed to engage students in physical and digital competition.
Soccer League Overview
The youth soccer league welcomes children from kindergarten through fourth grade and runs from September 13 to October 18, with matches scheduled each Sunday.
Games will be held at local fields, providing a structured environment for young athletes to develop fundamental skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Esports Club Overview
The E‑Gaming Club meets after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., extending from September 15 through November 5.
Located at the Boys & Girls Club on 30 W. 26th St., the club offers middle‑school students in grades six through eight a chance to explore competitive gaming while building communication and strategic thinking.
Both initiatives emphasize holistic development, encouraging participants to balance sport or gaming with academic responsibilities and community involvement.
Officials hope the programs will attract new families to the area and reinforce Covington’s commitment to providing diverse extracurricular opportunities.
