Creighton Announces 2026‑27 Non‑Conference Basketball Schedule

A slate of home showdowns, road trips and neutral‑site tournaments promises marquee matchups for the Bluejays

Creighton University’s men’s basketball program has unveiled an ambitious 2026‑27 non‑conference slate that blends home‑court tradition with eye‑catching road trips and neutral‑site showcases.

The schedule opens with two exhibition matchups against Iowa State and Minnesota before the regular season debut on November 2 at home against Kansas City.

Key home and road highlights

Creighton will host Nebraska and Gonzaga, marking a rare meeting with the Bulldogs, while also welcoming Le Moyne for the program’s first ever encounter at CHI Health Center Omaha on November 5.

A trip to Kansas State on November 10 will mark the Bluejays’ first visit to Manhattan in four decades, adding a historic layer to the schedule.

The team travels to Des Moines for a neutral‑site clash with Iowa on November 15, then heads to Las Vegas to compete in the Players Era 16 tournament, where a opening game against Michigan is set for November 24.

Potential opponents in the Las Vegas bracket include TCU, Miami, Gonzaga, Kansas State, Baylor or Alabama, with a possible title game on November 28 should Creighton win its first three contests.

December brings a four‑game home stretch, featuring contests against Oral Roberts, Nebraska, Gonzaga and Mount St. Mary’s, before the BIG EAST Tournament returns to Madison Square Garden in New York City from March 10‑13.

Athletics director Alan Huss emphasized that the slate is designed to test the team early, build chemistry and give fans marquee matchups throughout the fall and winter.
