Creighton University's baseball squad has once again distinguished itself on the academic front, capturing the American Baseball Coaches Association's Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 season with a collective 3.33 GPA.
The Bluejays capped the year with a 31-26 record, advancing to the BIG EAST Tournament Championship game and reinforcing the program's dual commitment to competitive success and scholarly achievement.
A Broad Recognition of Excellence
The ABCA honored more than 800 baseball programs nationwide with its 2025-26 Team Academic Excellence Award, a list that includes nearly 500 college teams and over 320 high school programs that met the association's rigorous standards.
Eligibility required a minimum cumulative team GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, a current ABCA head coach membership, and adherence to the association's academic benchmarks throughout the 2025-26 academic year.
Beyond the award, the ABCA continues a longstanding tradition of celebrating both coaches and student-athletes, overseeing initiatives such as the ABCA/Rawlings All-America Teams, regional coaching accolades, and the Dave Keilitz Ethics in Coaching Award.
Creighton's repeated recognition underscores the program's consistent performance in the classroom, reflecting a culture where athletic ambition and academic rigor are pursued in tandem.
