Creighton University’s men’s basketball program is preparing for the 2026‑27 season, a campaign that could extend its record of consecutive postseason appearances to eleven. The Bluejays have become a fixture in the NCAA tournament, having earned a berth in each of the past ten years, a streak that ranks among the nation’s most consistent.
At the helm of this effort is Alan Huss, the newly appointed head coach who arrived from the University of Wyoming. In his first press conference, Huss outlined a vision that blends aggressive ball movement on offense with a defense built around perimeter pressure and interior anchoring.
The centerpiece of Huss’s recruiting push is a class of eight newcomers that includes high‑school standouts, transfer veterans and international prospects. Among them, 6‑10 center Trevon Carter‑Givens, a four‑star recruit from Paso Robles, Calif., brings a 7‑5‑inch wingspan and a reputation as one of the most formidable shot‑blockers in the 2025‑26 class.
A Blend of Experience and Fresh Talent
Guard BJ Davis, a 6‑1" talent from Modesto, Calif., arrives after a breakout year at San Diego State University, where he posted career‑high numbers in points, rebounds and assists and earned Honorable Mention All‑Mountain West honors.
The roster also welcomes Kayden "Bugg" Edwards, a 6‑3" sophomore guard who honed his game at TCU before earning Tournament MVP honors at Duncanville High School, and Wes Enis, a 6‑1" guard from Ohio who was named American Conference Tournament MVP at the University of South Florida.
Additional signees include Oswin Erhunmwunse, a 6‑10" junior forward from Nigeria who was preseason All‑BIG EAST Third Team, and Fredrick King, a 6‑9" center from the Bahamas who earned MVC Newcomer of the Year after a dominant season at Murray State.
Brody Robinson, a 5‑11" guard from Texas, brings a prolific scoring record from Oakland University, where he led the Horizon League in three‑point shooting, while Wesly Rosa, a 7‑2" center from Cape Verde, contributed 8.0 points, 9.6 rebounds and 3.7 blocks per game at Kansas Jayhawk Community College, garnering Defensive Player of the Year accolades.
Coach Huss believes the new class will elevate the team’s offensive efficiency, especially in getting the ball into the paint, and will strengthen defensive cohesion with a mix of perimeter defenders and interior anchors.
The excitement is amplified by the presence of incoming freshman Katrelle Harmon, who signed with Creighton last November, and by the program’s historic consistency, making the Bluejays one of only four teams to win a game in each of the last seven postseasons.
