Cross County High School’s baseball program received a major boost this spring as two of its standout players earned 2A All‑State honors for the 2026 season.
The team rode an eight‑game win streak that culminated in a decisive home victory over the defending 2A state champions Riverside in Cherry Valley during the April opener, a game that highlighted the squad’s depth and pitching prowess.
Finishing the year with a 12‑10 overall record and a 6‑2 mark in conference play, the Eagles showed steady improvement throughout a competitive schedule.
Catcher Kale Searcy, one of the All‑State selections, has already secured his future at the collegiate level, signing to continue his career at ASU‑Mountain Home, where he will join a program known for developing strong pitchers.
Looking ahead
The upcoming season promises to build on the momentum generated by the All‑State recognitions and the team’s recent successes, with both players expected to play pivotal roles in the next chapter of Cross County baseball.
