The deluxe edition cover of EA Sports' College Football 27 showcases Indiana University head coach Curt Cignetti alongside a roster of top college talent, marking a visual tribute to the program’s first national championship and its flawless 16‑0 campaign. The artwork also highlights the game’s new Mascot Mashup feature, which pairs more than 120 college mascots in whimsical matchups.
Cignetti’s leadership culminated in a historic unbeaten run that not only secured the championship but also placed quarterback Fernando Mendoza as the nation’s top overall pick in the recent NFL Draft. Seven of his teammates joined him in the draft, setting a new Indiana record for draft selections.
The cover also features Oregon quarterback Dante Moore, Miami wide receiver Malachi Toney, and other standout players such as Jayden Maiava, Kewan Lacy, Colin Simmons and Leonard Moore, underscoring the game’s emphasis on the sport’s emerging stars.
Beyond the on‑field achievements, Cignetti has been selected as the honorary pace car driver for the 110th running of the Indianapolis 500, linking the university’s football triumph with one of motorsports’ most iconic events. Early beta access for the title will run from June 4‑7, with a broader early‑access window opening on July 2.
While pre‑orders for the individual game have yet to appear on the Xbox or PlayStation stores, the deluxe edition’s inclusion of early beta access and exclusive cover art has generated significant anticipation among fans and collectors alike.
