The Daily News has announced its 2025‑26 All‑Star selections for girls hockey, honoring fifteen standout athletes who helped their teams navigate demanding schedules and reach the state tournament. The list reflects a blend of offensive firepower, defensive reliability and exceptional goaltending, underscoring the depth of talent across the region.
Among the forwards, Madelyn Glynn of Algonquin emerged as the most potent scorer, tallying twenty‑nine goals and twenty assists while steering the team to the Division 1 state quarterfinals. Brooke Cutler from Hudson contributed seven goals and twelve assists on the backline, playing a pivotal role in the Titans co‑op’s run to the same round. Abby Kreiman of Hopkinton led the Hillers co‑op in scoring with twenty goals and eleven assists, earning a key spot in the Hillers’ tournament push.
Dominance Between the Pipes
In goal, Addy Cagan of Algonquin posted a .946 save percentage and a 1.17 goals‑against average, marking her third consecutive Daily News All‑Star nod. Sophia Luoni from Natick matched that consistency with a 1.20 GAA and nine shutouts, reinforcing her status as a three‑time All‑Star selection.
Defensive Backbones and Mid‑Season Honors
Defensive contributions were highlighted by Emily Hudson of Framingham, a Bay State Conference all‑star who capped a four‑year varsity career with ten goals and eleven assists. Izzy Mastrangelo of Natick anchored the blue line for the Redhawks, helping the squad secure a Division 1 state tournament berth. Jordan Digiandomenico from Natick earned a second straight Bay State Conference all‑star honor, guiding the Redhawks to the state tournament, while Kate Lamb of Weston repeated as a Merrimack Valley Conference/Dual County League Division 2 all‑star.
Additional recognitions included Lauren Morsilli of Weston, who collected seven goals and four assists to earn Merrimack Valley Conference/Dual County League Division 2 honors, and Avery Naumann from Lincoln‑Sudbury, a Bay State Conference all‑star for the Wellesley/L‑S co‑op. Payten Tripp of Ashland was named a Tri‑Valley League all‑star as the top forward for the Clockers co‑op.
Looking Ahead
Several honorees have already signaled their next steps, with Jenny McLaughlin of Franklin committing to Quinnipiac University and Lauren Morsilli planning to continue her career at the collegiate level.
