Colorado College announced this week that Dana Borges has been appointed to its hockey coaching staff as an assistant coach, bringing a proven track record in player development and recruitment.
A Recruiting Powerhouse
During his recent tenure at Arizona State University, Borges helped shape a program that reached a school‑record 24 victories in the 2023‑24 season, while guiding five players to the NHL draft and producing an All‑American.
His work at the Sun Devils built on earlier successes at Colgate University, where he spent five seasons, two as associate head coach, and contributed to an ECAC Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance.
Before Colgate, Borges served as an assistant at Williams College and at his alma mater, Stonehill College, where he also played professionally for Evry Peaux Rouges in France before graduating magna cum laude in sociology.
Looking Ahead
Borges’ recruiting network extends to the United States and beyond, having collaborated with USA Hockey and contributed to player pathways that earned NCHC Defensive Forward of the Year honors and all‑conference recognitions. Lesley Irvine and Kris Mayotte, fellow staff members, are expected to complement Borges’ expertise as the program looks to build on its recent momentum.
