A Breakout Season in Iowa
Dani Carnegie’s journey to the national 3×3 stage reflects a rapid rise in her collegiate career. After transferring from Georgia to the University of Iowa, she now has two seasons of eligibility remaining and brings a blend of experience and fresh talent to the Hawkeyes. Her accolades include a first‑team all‑Southeastern Conference selection in her sophomore year and the 2024 Miss Georgia Basketball honor, underscoring her impact on the court.
Carnegie’s collegiate résumé also features a standout freshman season at Georgia Tech, where she earned Atlantic Coast Conference Sixth Player of the Year honors. Those performances have translated into a strong reputation as a versatile guard, capable of creating scoring opportunities and defending multiple positions.
The upcoming 2026 FIBA 3×3 Nations League Americas Conference in ñuñoa, Chile, will showcase a roster that blends NCAA talent with international experience. Alongside Carnegie, the team features Sunaja Agara, Imari Berry, McKinna Brackens, Katie Fiso, and Tori McKinney, each of whom has participated in a USA Basketball 3×3 Developmental Camp and the recent 3X Showcase.
During the showcase, Carnegie, Fiso, and McKinney captured the championship as members of Team Phoenix, highlighting their chemistry and competitive edge. Berry, Carnegie, Fiso, and McKinney also contributed to the developmental camp, a program designed to refine skills and prepare players for the rigors of international 3×3 competition.
Representing the United States on the global stage adds a new chapter to Carnegie’s career. The tournament in Chile will not only test her abilities against the world’s best but also serve as a platform for her to promote the growth of women’s basketball in the United States. As she steps onto the court in ñuñoa, teammates and coaches alike anticipate that her experience and drive will help the squad contend for a podium finish.
