Keuka College has named Daniel Steve its new head baseball coach, tapping a familiar face who once dazzled as a pitcher for the Wolves.
A Homecoming With Vision
Steve, a 2021 graduate, returns to the campus in Keuka Park after stints as an assistant at Tompkins Cortland Community College and as head coach of the Newark Pilots.
During his playing days he helped the team set an all‑time win record in 2019 and earned First Team All‑North Eastern Athletic Conference honors.
His professional experience includes a standout season in the PECOS Professional Baseball League, where he was named an all‑star in 2021.
Now back on the sidelines, Steve will guide the program alongside veteran head coach Matt Michalski, who has been a mentor throughout the transition.
He has outlined a dual focus on competitive performance and academic excellence, aiming to field a squad that competes at a high level while representing Keuka College with pride.

Steve’s vision includes strengthening recruiting pipelines, enhancing training resources, and fostering a culture of integrity both on the diamond and in the classroom.
