Dante Moore, Oregon’s standout quarterback, recently turned the campus of Marist Catholic High School into a bustling hub of drills and laughter, guiding a group of youngsters between six and sixteen through a series of skill sessions.
The session was more than a showcase of throws and routes; Moore took time to answer questions, recounting his own journey from high school to the Ducks, and stressing that enjoyment of the game should always come first.
Community Roots
After the camp, Moore surprised a second‑grade class in Eugene, stepping into the classroom with a grin and a football, a gesture that underscored his commitment to giving back to the neighborhoods that have supported him.
He has made a habit of showing up in the Eugene‑Springfield community, whether that means visiting classrooms, leading camps, or simply being present at local events.
Later this summer he will join a contingent of Ducks on a trip to Japan, where they plan to run a football showcase that blends competition with cultural exchange, reinforcing the quarterback’s belief that the sport can bridge continents.
Back on the West Coast, Moore is slated to lead another youth camp at Ida B. Wells High in Portland, and he recently added a children’s book titled ‘From Journey to Dream’ to his repertoire, a narrative that reflects his own path from aspiration to achievement.
