Darlington Raceway has released its 2027 NASCAR race calendar, confirming two marquee weekends that will showcase the sport’s three national series. The first of these weekends, slated for April 2‑4, will host a tripleheader featuring the Craftsman Truck Series, the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and the Cup Series, culminating in the Goodyear 400.
Adding to the excitement, the April weekend will also incorporate an Alumni Weekend, giving fans the chance to meet former champions, participate in media interactions and enjoy a series of nostalgic activities that highlight the track’s storied past.
The second weekend arrives over the Labor Day holiday, with the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series taking the spotlight on September 4, followed by the Cook Out Southern 500 on September 5. The Southern 500 serves as the regular‑season finale for the Cup Series, marking the end of a year‑long points battle.
Josh Harris, President of Darlington Raceway, emphasized that the 2027 schedule is designed to deliver two outstanding weekends that celebrate the venue’s legacy while providing fresh, competitive experiences for fans and drivers alike.
The track’s emphasis on tradition is further reinforced by the inclusion of alumni events, which aim to connect longtime supporters with the next generation of racing enthusiasts. These activities are expected to enrich the overall fan experience and underscore the venue’s cultural significance.
Adding a narrative thread to the season, Tyler Reddick captured the Goodyear 400 earlier this year, a victory that has heightened anticipation for the upcoming April tripleheader and added momentum to the series.
