Florida Gulf Coast University announced Tuesday that Darrin Wallace will join the men’s basketball program as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2026‑27 season, bringing a blend of playing experience and proven leadership.

Wallace returns to the university where he once starred as a player, bringing a deep understanding of the program’s culture and expectations.
During his tenure as head coach at Florida SouthWestern State College, he guided the team to a 41‑18 record and earned the 2025‑26 Citrus Conference Coach of the Year honor, a testament to his ability to elevate talent.
