Pitching Mastery Recognized
David Rossow, a redshirt senior right-handed pitcher for the Camels, was selected to the American Coaches Baseball Association Rawlings Third Team All-American roster, a distinction that underscores his standout performance this season.
His season was defined by a triple-crown on the mound: he topped the league in earned run average (2.53), strikeouts (104) and victories (10). Across 81.2 innings in 13 starts and 16 appearances, he posted a 10-2 record while fanning batters at a rate of 10.7 per nine innings.
The accolade follows his earlier NCBWA Third Team recognition and reflects a broader conference impact, as he was also crowned CAA Pitcher of the Year and earned first-team all-conference honors. His 104 strikeouts place him among the most dominant arms in school history, marking him as the fifth Camel pitcher to reach the 100-strikeout milestone.
Beyond the numbers, Rossow’s consistency was evident in two shutouts and a .207 opponent batting average, contributions that helped shape a competitive roster and set a benchmark for future pitchers.
