July 15‑17 camp offers skill development for rising 1st‑8th graders

Summer Skills Camp Announcement

DCHS Lady Tiger basketball coach Lilly Bridges is set to host a Summer Skills Camp that runs from July 15 through July 17 at the school's gymnasium.

The camp is designed for children who will be entering first through eighth grade, with two distinct sessions each day: a morning slot for rising first through fifth graders from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and an afternoon slot for rising sixth through eighth graders from 10:30 a.m. until noon.

Participants will pay $25 for a single day or $60 for the full three‑day experience, a price that also covers a commemorative T‑shirt, ensuring each camper leaves with a piece of the program.

Coaching Philosophy

Bridges emphasizes fundamentals such as shooting form, footwork, and defensive stance, aiming to build confidence that carries over into the upcoming season.

The camp also serves as a community gathering, bringing together young athletes, parents, and local supporters in a shared enthusiasm for the sport.

Registration is straightforward — interested families can email coachbridges@yahoo.com to secure a spot, with limited spaces expected to fill quickly.
