Deane Williams, a Bath‑born guard, has turned a modest start in the southwest of England into a transatlantic odyssey that now places him on the brink of a historic domestic quadruple with the London Lions.
From Augusta to Europe
After a standout college spell at Augusta University, Williams left the United States in 2019 and embarked on a six‑year tour of Europe, earning contracts in Iceland, France, Germany, Italy and Poland before landing in London.
His résumé reads like a travel log of triumphs: a Super League Basketball Championship with the London Lions, a foreign‑player award in Iceland’s top flight, and a Champions League title with German side Telekom Baskets Bonn, where he helped secure 26 wins in 32 regular‑season games.
A British Voice on the International Stage
