DeAree Rogers, a redshirt senior at Northern Illinois University, has been named a nominee for the 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, an honor that celebrates student‑athletes who make a tangible impact beyond the gridiron.
On the field, Rogers led the Huskies in receiving statistics, amassing 506 yards on 46 catches and scoring three touchdowns, numbers that placed him at the top of the team’s receiving corps.
Off the field, he has devoted countless hours to Habitat for Humanity, helping to construct homes for families in need, and he regularly volunteers at youth camps and elementary schools throughout the DeKalb and Sycamore communities.
A Dual Commitment: Sport and Service
His commitment extends to organized programs such as NIU Football’s Women’s Clinic, where he mentors young athletes and promotes inclusive participation in the sport.
Rogers also tracks his community‑service hours, reporting that he ranks among the leaders in both the volume of hours logged and the variety of activities undertaken.
The selection pool comprises 175 candidates, and the final 22‑player team, plus a head coach, will be revealed in September; one standout will be crowned team captain and receive the Allstate Wuerffel Trophy.
