Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders, widely known as Coach Prime, announced a major recruiting victory on Memorial Day as four-star receiver Jaiden Kelly-Murray pledged to the university.
The Commitment Announcement
Kelly-Murray, a product of Oceanside Collegiate Academy in South Carolina, chose the Buffaloes over his home-state South Carolina Gamecocks, flipping his commitment in a video posted on CBS Sports' YouTube channel. He quoted Sanders' trademark phrase and referenced a rap track by Shedeur Sanders, adding a cultural flair to the announcement.
The recruit brings an impressive résumé, having amassed 2,159 receiving yards and 29 touchdowns during his sophomore and junior seasons, and he transferred to Oceanside Collegiate Academy for his senior year to sharpen his skills.
Sanders' ability to secure top talent is not new; the coach previously attracted Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter and has built a reputation for drawing elite corners and receivers to Boulder.
Despite ongoing health concerns and speculation about his long-term future, Sanders' recruiting staff has continued to outmaneuver competitors, underscoring the program's growing influence in national recruiting circles.
The commitment also highlights the Buffaloes' strategy of leveraging multimedia platforms, from social media clips to original music, to connect with prospects and amplify their brand.
Among the other notable signees mentioned in the class are Xavier Weaver, LaJohntay Wester, Jimmy Horn Jr., Will Sheppard, Julian Lewis, Rashad Rich and Rashad Davis, each adding depth to a roster that aims to compete at the highest level.
