The Des Moines Register has unveiled its 2026 preseason All‑Iowa football teams, naming 78 high school standouts across three divisions.
Selection Process
Writers from the Des Moines Register, the Iowa City Press‑Citizen and the Ames Tribune, together with input from coaches across the state, chose the players who earned spots on the First, Second and Third teams.
Each squad includes quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, offensive and defensive linemen, linebackers and defensive backs, reflecting the full spectrum of positions in Iowa’s high school ranks.
The complete All‑Iowa team will be revealed in December, honoring the state’s top performers after the upcoming season concludes.
