DeSales Women’s Soccer Earns United Soccer Coaches Academic Honor

Team GPA of 3.39 leads to MAC Fall Honor Roll recognitions and CSC All‑District accolades

A season of academic excellence

The DeSales University women's soccer program celebrated a milestone as its squad was honored with the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2025‑26 academic year.

The team posted a collective grade point average of 3.39, comfortably surpassing the 3.0 benchmark that the coaches' association uses to recognize academic achievement.

Award recognition among peers

Across the nation, 777 collegiate soccer programs met the academic standard, comprising 326 men's teams and 451 women's teams. DeSales joined a select group of institutions whose squads cleared the threshold.

The program also contributed to the Mid‑American Conference's academic reputation, with 14 players earning spots on the MAC Fall Academic Honor Roll for the previous season.

Individual accolades

Four team members received College Soccer Coaches Association All‑District honors, a testament to both their athletic and scholarly performance. The honorees are Lexi Bleam, Catherine Crampton, Madison O'Connor and Sarah Hope.

Their recognitions underscore the university's broader mission of developing student‑athletes who excel in the classroom as well as on the field.
