The Devils Youth Foundation announced a record $1.5 million in grants for the 2026‑27 season, distributing the funds to 38 local organizations that run youth sports leagues, health and wellness initiatives, arts projects and education programs across New Jersey.
A Milestone for Community Investment
The grants are designed to reach more than 93,000 young residents, reinforcing the foundation’s goal of building healthier, more engaged communities through accessible programming.
In addition to the grant awards, the foundation recognized ten high‑school seniors with $5,000 scholarships each during a ceremony on May 8, highlighting academic and extracurricular achievements.
These scholarships were funded through the annual Martin Brodeur ‘MB30’ Golf Invitational, a tradition that blends the legendary goaltender’s passion for giving back with community support.
A Legacy of Giving
Allison Blitzer, chair of the Devils Youth Foundation, emphasized that the initiative reflects a broader mission to strengthen neighborhoods and expand access to opportunity for the state’s youth. Martin Brodeur, executive vice president of hockey operations and three‑time Stanley Cup champion, echoed the sentiment, noting the partnership with New Jersey Devils Alumni as a key driver of the program’s reach.
