Union Parish has appointed Dimitri Carr as its new football head coach, a move that brings a seasoned insider back to the sidelines after a distinguished stint as defensive coordinator.
A familiar face returns
Carr spent five seasons as the defensive coordinator under Joe Spatafora, during which the team refined its defensive schemes and achieved consistent playoff appearances.
Before his coaching career, Carr graduated from Farmerville High School in 2002 and was a key member of the 2001 state championship squad, an experience that forged his deep connection to the community.
Looking ahead
The administration expressed confidence that Carr’s blend of playing experience and coaching acumen will revitalize the program, with hopes of contending for another championship in the coming seasons.
