The Women's Golf Coaches Association has released its latest academic rankings, placing Drake University’s women's golf program among the nation's top 25 teams in terms of collective grade point average.
During the 2025‑26 academic year the Bulldogs posted a team GPA of 3.83, which matches the 25th‑best average recorded across Division I programs.
That figure also earned the team a tie with the University of Dayton, each sharing the 25th spot in the association’s list.
Scholar Team Honors
Four Bulldogs — Rylee Heryford, Erika Holmberg, Julie Huggins and Alexis Reyes — were selected for the WGCA All‑American Scholar Team, underscoring the program’s depth of scholarship.
The rankings also highlighted Houston Christian University, which posted the highest collective GPA of 3.947 among Division I programs, edging out the competition.
