Duke University's men's basketball program has once again been recognized for its academic achievements, securing its fourth straight National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2025‑26 season.
Award Recognition
The honor underscores the Blue Devils' consistent performance both on the court and in the classroom, with head coach Jon Scheyer guiding the team to a collective GPA of 3.11.
Student‑Athlete Honors
Three Blue Devils — Caleb Foster, Cameron Sheffield and Jack Scott — earned spots on the NABC Honors Court, a distinction reserved for student‑athletes who maintain a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA.
In addition, senior forward Maliq Brown was selected to the All‑ACC Academic Team, further highlighting the program's scholarly talent.
Conference and National Impact
The accolade places Duke among seven Atlantic Coast Conference schools honored this year, reflecting a conference‑wide commitment to academic rigor. Across the country, more than 2,300 athletes were named to the NABC Honors Court and over 400 programs received Team Academic Excellence Awards, illustrating the growing emphasis on education in college basketball.
