Duke University’s men’s basketball program, guided by head coach Jon Scheyer, has cemented its reputation as a recruiting powerhouse, capturing the nation’s top-ranked high school class for three consecutive years.
A New Era of Recruiting
The Blue Devils continue to shape the future of college basketball by extending scholarship offers to some of the most coveted prospects in the 2027 and 2028 cycles.
In the 2026 cycle, Duke secured four five‑star athletes — Cameron Williams, Deron Rippey Jr., Bryson Howard and Joaquim Boumtje Boumtje — signaling a sustained commitment to elite talent.
The 2027 class already boasts five‑star combo guard Adan Diggs, ranked second overall and first among combo guards, who has also attracted interest from Kentucky, North Carolina, Alabama, Arizona and BYU. Duke also courted five‑star guard Beckham Black and four‑star forward Kager Knueppel, both of whom are drawing attention from a similar suite of programs.
Among the 2028 prospects, power forward Colton Hiller, a 6‑foot‑6, 210‑pound standout ranked second nationally at his position, received a Duke offer, while 6‑foot‑8 small forward AJ Williams, the top overall player in that class, has listed Duke among his suitors alongside Kansas and North Carolina. Both recruits have taken unofficial visits to Durham, underscoring the program’s growing allure.
