Duke University’s football program is already deep into the 2027 recruiting cycle, with 17 commitments recorded as of June 10. The class currently holds the No. 28 spot in the national rankings, a position that reflects both the coaching staff’s early momentum and the appeal of the Blue Devils’ recent successes.
The first domino fell in December 2025 when King Kalama, a standout prospect from the state, announced his commitment, setting a tone for the cycle.
Recent commitments
Within the past week, four additional recruits have pledged to the Blue Devils: Kasen Jammer, Elijah Burns‑Crump, Gavin Milton and Adriel Rojas. Their decisions underscore the growing attraction to Duke’s offensive scheme and the program’s upward trajectory under Manny Diaz.
Head coach Manny Diaz, now in his third full recruiting class, has turned the program into a consistent winner. Over his first two seasons he has compiled an 18‑9 record, guiding the team to a 9‑5 finish in 2025 while securing an Atlantic Coast Conference championship and a Sun Bowl victory.
On‑field breakthroughs
The 2025 campaign marked Duke’s fourth consecutive bowl appearance and the third time in program history that the Blue Devils captured both an ACC title and a bowl win in the same season. The momentum carries into the 2026 schedule, which opens on September 5 against Tulane at Wallace Wade Stadium.
