Duluth Marshall High School announced this week that it will begin the search for a new head coach for its girls basketball program, following the departure of longtime leader Chibuzo Ocuhukwu.
A Legacy of Success
Ocuhukwu guided the Hilltoppers to the state tournament in three of the past six seasons and was credited with developing WNBA prospect Gianna Kneepkens, a player whose professional trajectory reflects the coach’s impact on talent growth.
Among the returning roster, sophomore Chloe Johnson stands out as the second‑ranked player in the class of 2028, a prospect who has already attracted attention from college scouts and teammates alike.
The coaching vacancy is part of a broader reshaping of the school’s athletic leadership, with openings also posted for head coaches in boys basketball, baseball and girls lacrosse.
Looking Ahead
School officials say the next hire will be expected to build on the program’s recent successes while integrating the promising young roster and upholding Duluth Marshall’s commitment to academic and athletic excellence.
