Duncan Robinson, known for his precise three‑point shooting and his roots in the Seacoast area of New Hampshire, is preparing to bring a deeply personal basketball gathering back to the community where he grew up.
A Weekend of Play and Purpose
The event, scheduled for July 18‑19, will take place at South Mill Pond Playground and the adjacent Connie Bean Community Center, transforming the familiar waterfront park into a hub of competition and camaraderie.
Organizers have structured the weekend around two distinct components: an 3v3 tournament open to adult players, featuring sixteen teams, and a skills camp designed for young athletes in grades five through twelve, where Robinson will share drills and insights from his NBA career.
All proceeds from registration fees and donations will be directed to the Robinson Family Foundation, a nonprofit created by the Robinson family to fund programs that address mental health challenges, particularly those affecting individuals coping with schizophrenia, addiction and other serious conditions.
In a recent interview, Robinson spoke candidly about his brother Eli’s struggles, emphasizing that the conversation around mental illness remains too often silent. “Eli’s story is a reminder that support must be continuous, not just when tragedy strikes,” he said, urging families and friends to keep the dialogue open.
