Duquesne Football Returns to SportsNet Pittsburgh in 2026
The university announced that all five home games of the 2026 season will be televised on SportsNet Pittsburgh, marking a full‑season broadcast partnership that expands the program’s visibility across the region.
Complementing the game telecasts, a weekly program titled the Jerry Schmitt Coach’s Show will air each Thursday beginning September 3, offering viewers an inside look at the team’s preparation and strategy.
Tim Benz, a longtime sports analyst, will co‑host the show with head coach Jerry Schmitt, who is entering his 22nd season and remains the longest‑tenured coach in the Football Championship Subdivision.
Each episode will feature a Duquesne student‑athlete as a guest, a ‘Behind the Numbers’ segment sponsored by Schneider Downs, and a ‘Painting the Picture to Victory’ segment from Sherwin‑Williams, while UPMC and Mike’s Beer Bar provide overall presentation support.
The schedule includes a homecoming clash, the NEC opener against LIU Brooklyn, midseason contests versus Wagner and Robert Morris, and a finale against Mercyhurst, with the season opener also serving as a preview hosted by Dean Honda.
All broadcasts will be available on SportsNet Pittsburgh, the NEC Front Row streaming service, and via Fox Sports PGH radio on iHeartRadio’s 104.7 HD2 and 970 AM, while fans can follow weekly updates on X, Instagram and Facebook under @DuqFB.
The university’s online hub, GoDuquesne.com, will host additional content, and the athletic department encourages supporters to engage across its social platforms.
