Dušan Eric Joins Manhattan Men’s Basketball

Freshman forward brings Serbian experience and academic excellence to the Jaspers

Manhattan College's men's basketball head coach John Gallagher announced the addition of incoming freshman forward Dušan Eric, a 6‑8 athlete from Hoosick, New York, who will report to the Jaspers for the 2026‑27 season.

Eric arrives after a two‑year stint in Serbia, where he suited up for Cacak 94, Borac Cacak and Red Star, logging 67 appearances between 2021 and 2025. In those leagues he posted averages of 11.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.4 steals per game, shooting 55.6 % from the floor and 30.5 % from three‑point range.

His senior year at the Hoosac School was even more impressive, as he nearly broke the 25‑point mark while pulling down double‑digit rebounds in nearly every game, earning a spot on the All‑NEPSAC Class AAA First Team as the lone honoree from his school.

Off the court, Eric was recognized on the NYSPHSAA Scholar Athlete list for the Winter of 2026, underscoring his commitment to academics as well as athletics.

A Versatile Threat

The combination of size, shooting efficiency and basketball IQ makes Eric one of the most anticipated freshmen in recent memory for the program.

With Eric on board, the Jaspers look to build on last season's momentum and contend for a conference title.
