A New Chapter for the Dragons
The Duxbury High Dragons are gearing up for a 2026 campaign that could finally restore the program’s storied presence at Gillette Stadium.
After a 34‑21 setback to Scituate in last year’s Division 4 semifinal, the team enters the offseason with a mix of loss and optimism.
Key Players Return
Fourteen seniors, including standouts Brady Rhinesmith, Ian McNeil, Tucker Henderson and Jake Falls, have moved on, but head coach Matt Landolfi will welcome back several key contributors.
Among the returnees, Rhinesmith and McNeil are expected to anchor the offense, while the defensive line will benefit from the experience of Henderson and Falls.
A Revamped Schedule
The Dragons will open the season on September 11 at home against Scituate, travel to Hanover on September 18, and finish September with a non‑league test at Barnstable on September 25.
October brings a slate of Patriot League matchups against Hingham, Silver Lake, Whitman‑Hanson and Plymouth North, culminating in a Thanksgiving showdown with Marshfield on November 26.
Beyond the regular schedule, the Dragons will also compete in the MIAA state tournament and a series of non‑playoff games, giving the young roster a chance to build experience before the next season.
Looking Forward
With a refreshed roster and a demanding schedule, the Dragons hope to translate early‑season momentum into a deep run in the state tournament, aiming to reclaim the Super Bowl berth that has eluded them for half a decade.
